This hat was made in alpaca... Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Ampato. It's sooo soft.
Alpaca yarn has to be a fave for me. This hat isn't perfect, but it's ok. I finally used circulars with no problem. Yaay for progress. I'm contemplating purchasing a set of circulars. I went to a Tuesday Morning a couple weeks ago and found a variety of ChiaoGoo circulars. They were priced much less than anywhere else I've seen them sold. I heard they even have ChiaoGoo sets priced between $30 and $40. A knitter I met recently had just been in and bought the last set. I'll try again in a few days.
Ok next hat...
This one was made using Colorwul. Ignore the hair...my gosh it looks as if I haven't brushed it in days. I whipped these basic hats out in a day. I had no problems at all.
Now I'm working on a crocheted hat for Ireland. It's been awhile since I've made her a new one. She wanted Scrump. I thought what the heck is a scrump. I had to google it and found out that Scrump is Lilo's doll from Lilo and Stitch. So Scrump it is...
I'll come back in a couple of days with the finished product, and maybe even post the pattern.
Have a great week!
I love your first hat! The colour is awesome!

ReplyDeleteThe hats are fab! Good for u trying the circulars. I haven't been brave enough yet.
ReplyDeleteI would love to know what pattern the beanie is. I love it!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your knitted hats are gorgeous, and the crocheted, too! I like most the second! I have to knit about two years but I think I will come back with the second. Do you have a pattern to share with us?!?!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who crochets and recently picked up my first set of knitting needles, I can only hope I can one day make a hat. I think once I get how to hold my yarn down it will be easier for me. I love it that you do both! The hats are great! I love a simple pattern that looks good. A quick project is even better. I look forward to seeing the pattern. Thanks for sharing. I follow and share, spread the crochet madness!

First of all your hair looks great as do you hats, all three of them. My friend has those circular needles and loves them. I have the wooden ones from Knit Picks and I love them, very nice pointy points.

I love both your knitted hats. I really should try knitting again. I only crochet and I only do simple crochet. Really do love the crochet patterns that you have on here, they are clearly written and I appreciate that very much.
