Our first photo of the trip was at the Florida Visitor Center
We spent the first night in Cocoa Beach and then got on the cruise ship the next day
Day 1
Our first view of the ship, the Disney Dream |
Waiting to embark |
The staterooms are huge with portholes large enough to sit in |
The ship was gorgeous
and decorated for Halloween
First night was Halloween so Ireland dressed as Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Her dinner buddy |
We chose the Blue Lagoon Island excursion. It was perfect because we wanted a less crowded experience. I've been here before and knew it would be more peaceful than the Atlantis experience.
Day 3: Castaway Cay
The island was also beautiful but a little crowded for my taste.
Waiting to get back on the ship |
Enjoying the view before dark |
We left the ship about 10am and made it to All Star Movies Resort about 11am
We stayed in the Dalmations section
The first day we explored the resort and then went to Downtown Disney in the evening. We ate at Paradiso 37, which was really good
and shopped at the World of Disney, which is the best shop ever. We were all Disney Drunk in that store. Even Michael was a little giddy there.
Day 5: Magic Kingdom
Space Mountain |
Splash Mountain |
Ireland found her country |
Day 6: A break
We stayed at the resort pool all day and then went to Boma, a restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge
This place was amazing
The lobby |
Day 7: Animal Kingdom
My favorite park
Day 9: Hollywood Studios
Fantasmic the best end to our vacation |
Now that we're back I can focus on crocheting and knitting. I've been consumed by Disney for awhile now.
Oh, thank you for the pictures. They made me feel very happy but very homesick. A year away from Florida and I still miss it terribly. We've been to Disney dozens of times, but you made me feel like I was seeing it for the first time. I'm glad you and your family had a wonderful time. It is a magical place :-)
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are so great. I haven't' been to Disney but now I feel like I have been there. The cruise looks wonderful, I love the huge portholes in your room. So glad you went, I love anything at the beach!!! What a super vacation for all of you.
ReplyDeleteI Loved each and every photo, the trip looked like it was amazing. So glad you all had fun, I know you have been planning this for a long time.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
It looks like an amazing time!!! Glad that you enjoyed it all so very much. xx
ReplyDeleteWow, what wonderful photos. Thanks for sharing this. Our son just turned 25 but I have fond memories of Disneyworld and we even went on a Disney cruise when he was three, it was when they had a much smaller ship!
