Four Days at the Beach

Last week we decided to go to the beach. We had a few days off so we headed to Myrtle Beach. With no reservations, Myrtle was our best chance to find a room. It's not our favorite beach (we love any area on the Outer Banks) but we still had fun.

Ireland's favorite spot was the pool.

We also enjoyed...

Yummy drinks :)

Getting our nails and hair done...

Ireland's first haircut

Putt putt, or mini golf

Krispy Kreme...a beach tradition :D

Instagram... Hehe ;)

and of course, the beach

This is how the beach looks everywhere else in Myrtle...too crowded for my taste

Here is the beach near our resort...that's more like it. We stayed at the resort at the very end of the strand, so it felt so much more secluded

I crocheted a little at night in front of the tv. I'm still working on those bunnies that I mentioned a few posts ago. I'm also working on a couple of gifts for babies.

This weekend I'm just catching up on housework and finishing those bunnies.

I hope you all are having a great weekend:)

  1. Ahhhh, lovely, Liz. I like your beach, too =]
The beaches I just saw in northern CA looked like that, too [because the water is so cold ]
In the time I was there I only completed a dishcloth, but now that I am home, I am learning to use a new computer and plan to do some "Olympic" crafting =]
    Joy to you and yours,
    Gracie

  4. Sigh. Yeah. Myrtle Beach is awesome. Went there a few times as a kid. My favorite part of it was all the mini golf my brothers and I played.

  6. Glad you were able to enjoy a little away time! I am in central SC, just recently relocated from St. Simon's Island (about 45 minutes south of Savannah, GA). While I am thankful to still be relatively close to the shore for a weekend getaway, I miss being able to go walk the beaches any time I pleased, day or night.

  8. Oh I miss Myrtle Beach. Our parents used to rent a place there and anyone in the family that wanted to go was welcome. My husband and I have been to some other areas along the coast, such as Nags Head, Charleston SC, Beaufort SC, and I love it all.
